Stuart Richardson
Dungeness Lifeboat Second Coxswain

Stuart joined the crew of Dungeness Lifeboat in 1989. Lifeboating was very much in his blood as his father William was Coxswain of the Dungeness RNLI Lifeboat from 1977 until 1997 and Stuart joined his father's crew when he was eligible at the age of seventeen eventually becoming Second Coxswain at Dungeness.
After leaving school he operated his own fishing boats from Dungeness to Rye and in 2001 he became a full time helmsman at Tower RNLI Lifeboat Station on the River Thames. He was appointed as the Dover RNLI Lifeboat Coxswain in Autumn 2007 returning to Tower RNLI Lifeboat Station in 2010.
Stuart is married to Clair and they have three children. He was awarded his RNLI Long Service Badge in 2009.
