Launched 3 January in stormforce winds at 05.30 hours to a sail training yacht struggling in the heavy seas,  3 miles NE of Dungeness Point.

News Release - 16 August 2008

Dungeness RNLI lifeboat is launched in the early hours of Saturday 16th August, 2008 to a 12 metre yacht on passage from Ipswich to Cardiff.

The RNLI lifeboat 'Pride and Spirit' was called at 00.45 hours in the morning to the 12 metre yacht broken down with engine failure, three miles south west of the Dungeness Point. The yacht with four persons aboard was towed to a safe anchorage in Dover Harbour.
