Dungeness RNLI lifeboat station officers attend RNLI Awards Ceremony at the Barbican in London on Thursday 22 May, 2008

Coxswain Stuart Adams, LOM (lifeboat operations manager) Eric Whenday and chairman of the management committee, William Richardson with their wives were proud to travel to the Barbican in London on Thursday 22nd May, to watch Eric and Jean Cass from Virginia Water - the donors of the Dungeness RNLI lifeboat 'Pride and Spirit' receive the RNLI's Individual Supporters Award from the Duchess of Cornwall.
The Cass's have been long-standing supporters of the RNLI contributing to many individual donations over the past fifteen years and in particular to the Dungeness station. They have become good friends with the crew and their families and frequently visit the station to add their support.
In all their financial contribution to the RNLI has been close to £750,000 since 1992.
