Dungeness RNLI lifeboat launched to woman taken ill on 47' Swedish yacht.

The RNLI lifeboat was called last Wednesday evening (28 May) to assist a female crewmember on the yacht 'Om Shanti'. The 47' Swedish yacht with four persons on board had recently left Eastbourne when weather conditions deteriorated. Crewman Garry Clark, a fully trained first aider was put aboard the yacht from the lifeboat in very rough conditions to monitor the patient whilst the RNLI lifeboat escorted the casualty to Dover Harbour to meet a waiting ambulance.
