Launched 3 January in stormforce winds at 05.30 hours to a sail training yacht struggling in the heavy seas,  3 miles NE of Dungeness Point.

News Release - 9 June 2007

Dungeness RNLI lifeboat towed broken down fishing boat to Dover.

On Saturday 9th June, at 12.15 p.m., Dungeness RNLI lifeboat was launched on service to the fishing vessel 'Missie' on passage from Chatham to Liverpool. The casualty was lost and gave out a position 8 miles from Dungeness. The lifeboat found the casualty half a mile east of Dungeness with a broken gearbox. Deputy second coxswain Mark Richardson, in charge of the RNLI lifeboat said ' the men on board the casualty were a bit confused and appreciated our assistance.' The casualty 'Missie' was towed to Dover Harbour.
