Launched 3 January in stormforce winds at 05.30 hours to a sail training yacht struggling in the heavy seas,  3 miles NE of Dungeness Point.

News Release - 22 October 2007

Dungeness RNLI lifeboat launched twice in two days to same casualty

On Saturday 20 October, 2007 at 16.25 hours the Dungeness RNLI lifeboat was launched to a 23 foot yacht broken down with two persons aboard, 4.5 miles south west of Dungeness point on route from Newhaven to Dover, with engine failure. Coxswain Stuart Adams put one lifeboat crewmember aboard causalty to assess situation and decided to secure a tow from the lifeboat to take casualty to a safe achorage in Rye.

The next day, Sunday 21 October, 2007 at approximately 14.11 hours the same casualty with two persons aboard broke down again with the same engine failure, 5 miles north east of Dungeness point on route to Dover. Coxswain Adams and lifeboat crew again towed the casualty to a safe anchorage but this time to Dover Harbour.
