Dungeness RNLI lifeboat answers MAY DAY call.

On Monday 4 May, 2009 at approximately 17.00 hours the RNLI lifeboat from Dungeness received a MAY DAY call from a cabin cruiser with a fouled propellor, 1.5 miles south of Dungeness. On reaching the casualty the RNLI lifeboat towed the stricken vessel to calmer waters in the bay so that Coxswain Stuart Adams could safely put two crew members aboard to assess the situation. Coxswain Adams decided to tow the casualty to Rye for repairs.
